Calling All Artists!
Fine Line Creative Arts Center presents
two upcoming national juried mixed media exhibitions and encourages all
interested artists to apply and submit original artwork.
“Indulgence” exhibit and sale will run
March 20 – April 18, 2015. Artists’ applications are due by January 30, 2015.
Artists near and far are invited to
submit original artwork on the theme of “indulgence.” In what do you indulge? Almost
any theme is possible, from extravagance and luxury to tolerance and mercy.
“UnpredicTABLE” exhibit and sale will
run July 10 – August 7, 2015. Artists’ applications are due by March 2, 2015.
For this show, artists from across the
nation are invited to submit original artwork for the theme of
"UnpredicTABLE.” Pieces should represent those found at the table, such as
tableware, table linens, provisions and decorations; or they should be
evocative of the mood set when participants gather at the table for meals, such
as seen in paintings and tapestries, for example.
All 2-D and 3-D media will be included
in these two exhibitions, and artists are encouraged to apply in any medium. Jurors
will select artists based on originality and quality of their submitted work.
Interested artists can download
information and applications for each of these exhibits by visiting http://fineline.org/call-for-artists.
“Indulgence” and “UnpredicTABLE”
exhibits will be held in the Kavanagh Gallery at Fine Line Creative Arts
Center, a not-for-profit art center located in the western suburbs of Chicago
in St. Charles, IL. Kavanagh Gallery is open 10 am – 5 pm, Mondays through
Saturdays.
Fine Line Creative Arts Center, located
at 37W570 Bolcum Road St., Charles, offers fine art classes and guest artist
workshops to adults in textiles, ceramics, 2-D and 3-D.
Two art galleries are part of the Fine
Line campus: Kavanagh Gallery, which hosts local, national and international
juried shows, and Dempsey Gallery, which features works of art by Fine Line
instructors and members.
